Paul F Levandowski Sr.

February 5th, 1932 to October 17th, 2024

Paul Francis Levandowski Sr., 92, of Marysville, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family, Thursday, October 17, 2024.

He was born February 5, 1932 in Detroit to the late Paul B. and Cassie Lewandowski. He married Lois J. Wynia on July 25, 1953 in Detroit. She preceded him in death on August 29, 2019 after 66 years of marriage.

Paul graduated from St. Joseph High School in Detroit and then served in the U.S. Navy for four years during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, he attended the University of Detroit where he received a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. He was employed with Chevrolet for 16 years and at Blue Water Plastics for 23 years before his retirement on January 13, 1995.

Paul was a member of the Center Line St. Clement Catholic Church Dads Club, St. Christopher Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus Marysville Council #9526, American Legion J. Edward Mallorey Post # 449, Marysville Sports Boosters and the Marysville Golf Course. Paul was active in sports his entire life. He played baseball, softball and during his 77 years of golfing, he carded a hole in one three times. Paul believed in keeping physically fit and even at the age of 92 could be found working out three days a week at the YMCA.

He is survived by a eight children, Jill (the late Steven) Forsythe, Joni (Ron) Terry, Jane Levandowski, Paul (Kathy) Levandowski Jr., Jacalyn (Jerry) Schultz, Jeff (Patty) Levandowski, Janine Paeth (Fred Goodell), and John Levandowski; honorary daughter, Rose (Scott) Tetreau; 22 grandchildren, Matt, Kristi, Sarah, Ronnie, Rikki, Channon, Patrick, Jesse, Jenelle, Lee, Laine, Lacey, Kim, Jennefer, Janet, Julia, Jake, Gloria, Gary, Melissa, Ashley and Jerry; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; special sister-in-law, Shirley Lewandowski; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a grandson, Ian Crawford; brother, Tom Lewandowski; and sisters, Marci Chapp and Eleanor Hyska.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Monday, October 21, 2024 in the Marysville Funeral Home. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m.

Mr. Levandowski will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend James Arwady will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Navy and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
