David T Kish

David Thomas Kish, 76, of St. Petersburg, FL, formerly of Port Huron, died Friday, November 1, 2024.

He was born March 5, 1948 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Geneva Kish. He married Darlene LaTurno on July 11, 1970 in Port Huron.

David served in the U.S. Army. He was employed with Grand Trunk Western Railroad for 42 years before his retirement. He was a member of Marysville Lodge #498 F. & A.M. He enjoyed model trains, driving his dragster, remote control cars and boats, camping and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Darlene; daughter, Kerrie (Tim) Hammar; seven grandchildren, Jessica (Adrien) Harris, Jennifer (Casey) Preston, Anthony Buchheister, Kaylene (Holden) Furner, Brooke (Kaiden) Hammar, Christopher (Brooke) Hammar and Nicole (Shay) Hammar; 13 great grandchildren, Adrien Jr., Myles, Derrick, Olivia, Skylar, Braylee, Kenzlee, Jerzee, Mya, Joey, Gracie, Everleigh and Joanne; brother, Eddie (Cindy) Kish; three sisters-in-law, Loretta Kish, Gay LaTurno and Sharon (Don) Cooper; many nieces and nephews, including Jackie Landon; and beloved dogs, Bella and Ruby. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherrie “Buckwheat” Kish; brother, Joseph Kish; and brother-in-law, David LaTurno.

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, November 5, 2024 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 12 noon. Pastor Scott Babin will officiate.

Burial will be in Burtchville Township Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army.
