Ronald G Fraelich

December 1st, 1938 to February 12th, 2025

Ronald G. Fraelich, 86, of Kimball Township, passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, at home surrounded by his loving family and his faithful dog, Izzy.

He was born December 1, 1938, in Kimball Township to the late August and Agnes Fraelich.

Ronald proudly served his country in the U.S. Army, and that spirit of service and helping others remained with him throughout his life. He spent four decades as a dedicated employee at Mueller Brass Company before retiring.

In his younger years, Ron could often be seen polishing his prized vehicles. He loved spending time in nature, especially bird watching, tending his garden and taking care of his yard. Above all, he treasured moments spent with his family and friends-Sunday dinners filled with roast beef and laughter were some of his favorite times. He was a source of love and joy in many lives and he will be profoundly missed.

Ronald is survived by his two daughters, Rosemary Stapleton (Mark) and Angela Smith Snyder (Mark); his son, Rodney Fraelich; niece, Toni Jakubiak (Joe); and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wives, Veronica and Gail; and all ten of his brothers and sisters.

A graveside service at Caswell Cemetery and memorial event this spring will be announced. Donations in Ron’s name to the Blue Water Area Humane Society would be appreciated.

The family would like to thank Ron’s niece, Toni Jakubiak, for her devoted care over the past four years that allowed Ronald to remain in his home. Gratitude is also extended to Gregg Smith for his weekly visits to take Ron to Sunday dinners at Angela’s and holidays when others were away. The compassion of neighbors-Dennis, Carmen, Rudy, and Karen-who kept a watchful eye on him will never be forgotten and illustrates the community spirit that supported Ron in his later years. We are deeply thankful for all who contributed to Ronald’s well-being. It takes a village to help the elderly!
