Marilyn Yeager

Marilyn Marjorie Yeager, 89, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, March 18, 2026.

She was born January 21, 1937 in Port Huron to the late Wallace and Flora Child. She married Robert K. Yeager on October 8, 1960 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on December 24, 2011 after 51 years of marriage.

Marilyn graduated from Marysville High School in 1954. She was employed with Tapex for 10 years and Michigan Bell Telephone Company where she retired after 30 years. Marilyn enjoyed reading and watching old movies.

She is survived by her nieces, Kathryn Norton and Judy Albert; nephews, Major John Klammer, Terry (Susan) Welch, Randall (Cheryl) Welch, Michael (Karen) Potter, Patrick (Susan) Child and Jeffry Child; several great nieces, great nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews; and special friend, Gary Stocks. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Wallace (Mabel) Child, Fraser W. Child, Barbara (Del) Klammer and Joan (Fred) Potter; and three nephews and one niece.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.

Memorial contributions many be made to the Blue Water Area Humane Society or Blue Water Hospice.
