Robert J Collins

Robert James Collins, 67, of Port Huron died Thursday, April 9, 2026.

He was born July 25, 1958 in Port Huron to Eileen J. and the late James E. Collins.

Robert graduated from Port Huron Central High School in 1977 and began working at IAC in Port Huron soon after. He worked as a press operator until his retirement in the fall of 2025, and during those years, his colleagues at IAC truly became an extended family. Bob was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and loved putting on his yearly 4th of July fireworks show.

He is survived by his daughter, Nichole (Joseph) Ball; son, Michael (Barb) Barnes; grandchildren, Bailey, Aubrey and Kaitlyn; mother, Eileen Collins; and siblings, James E. Collins, Patricia Minnie and Linda O’Connor. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Ronald O’Connor.

A memorial visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
