Nancy L Lindsay

Nancy Louise Lindsay, 79, of Fort Gratiot died Friday, April 10, 2026.

She was born December 11, 1946 in Port Huron, MI to the late Harley and Lucille Matthews. She married Thomas C. Lindsay on July 7, 1967. He preceded her in death on November 23, 2015 after 48 years of marriage.

Nancy worked as a preschool teacher at the YMCA of the Blue Water Area for many years and then as a floor supervisor at Blue Water Sorting and Packaging. Faith was very important to Nancy, and she cherished her church families at Hillside Wesleyan Church and Colonial Woods Missionary Church. She loved taking daily walks, helping in the church libraries, and capturing beautiful sunrise photos. Being a grandma and great grandma was one of the greatest joys of Nancy’s life.

She is survived by three daughters, Paula Parker, Kerry (Marty) Fountain and Jill (Paul) Rhude; seven grandchildren, Steven Donahue, Jessica Donahue, Alyssa (Alex) Newcomb, Amanda Fountain, Sarah Rhude, Eric Rhude and Jacob Rhude; great grandchildren, A.J., Revy and Kendrick; siblings, Howard Matthews and Jerry (Mary) Matthews; sister-in-law, Noreen Matthews; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, Edwin; two sisters, Mary Lou and Margaret; and a sister-in-law, Doris.

Visitation will be 3-7 p.m. Friday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 18, 2026 in Colonial Woods Missionary Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. The Reverend Brian Ake will officiate.

Burial will be in Christian Memorial Cultural Center, Peck.
