Clark G. Erickson, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at home on March 4, 2026, after a long illness. He was 82 years old. Born on October 27, 1943, in Ironwood, Michigan, Clark was the cherished son of the late Paul and Mary Erickson. His life was marked by dedication, service, and a light-hearted spirit that inspired all who knew him.

Clark's formative years were spent in Marysville, Michigan, where he graduated from high school, laying the foundation for a life of learning and exploration. He furthered his education at Port Huron Junior College, a stepping stone to his illustrious career in the military.

In 1964, Clark's life took a joyful turn when he met and married the love of his life, Sharon Schlinkert, in a beautiful ceremony in Bremen, Germany. Their union was a testament to enduring love, and together they shared 61 wonderful years, filled with adventure, laughter, and unwavering support for one another.

Clark dedicated 19 years of his life to serving his country in the military, where he traveled to Colorado, Germany, and participated in Desert Storm. As a photographer, he captured the essence of military life, preserving moments of courage and camaraderie. His exceptional service was recognized with the honor of a Bronze Star, a testament to his bravery and commitment.

After retiring from the military, Clark channeled his entrepreneurial spirit into various successful business ventures, continuing to inspire those around him with his innovative ideas and tireless work ethic. He was a man of many talents, but above all, it was his sense of humor and zest for life that endeared him to family and friends. Clark had an uncanny ability to find joy in the simplest of moments and shared that joy generously, uplifting everyone in his presence.

Clark's legacy lives on through his loving wife Sharon, his devoted sons Andrew (Kathy) and Peter, his cherished grandson Aidan, who was the apple of his eye, and his brother Charles. His family was his pride and joy, and he took immense pleasure in their accomplishments, always offering steadfast support and guidance.
