Dorothy L Howard

Dorothy Louise Howard, 80, of Marysville, died Saturday, March 30, 2013.

She was born November 21, 1932 in East Tawas to the late Earl and Irma Lonsbury. She married Francis Howard on October 5, 1974 in Port Huron. He died December 23, 2001.

Mrs. Howard lived for 40 years in East Tawas where she owned and operated a beach resort on Lake Huron. She enjoyed family get-togethers and fondly remembered the 1967 Mustang which she had restored. She moved to Marysville in 1974 and was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church.

She is survived by three children, Valorie (Robert) Cohen, Greg (Deborah) Smith and Christopher (Corky) Abston; 8 grandchildren; several great grandchildren; three brothers, Jerry, Richard and Clifford; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret McLean.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Tuesday in the Marysville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 3, 2013 in Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Marysville. The Reverend John W. Hitzeroth will officiate.
