Rollie E Hubble
Rollie E. Hubble, 82, of Marysville, died Friday, August 2, 2013 at home.
He was born November 27, 1930 in Marion County, Missouri to the late James and Lena Hubble. The love of his life, Mildred Rose who preceded him in death on February 19, 1992, surely welcomed him into the afterlife as their love was rich and enduring.
Rollie was an engineer with the U.S. Army for 20 years where he was involved with missile defense systems, teaching math and electronics. After retiring from the Army, he was employed with Materials Testing Services for several years. He was inspired by his cousin Edwin Hubble, inventor of the Hubble telescope.
Rollie was an amazing human being and was loved by all who knew him from his three children and granddaughter to his many friends, including his extended family at the Junction Buoy. He was a quiet and unassuming person, a great listener, and accepting of his friends and family unconditionally, without judgment. He will be dearly missed.
A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 7, 2013 in the Marysville Funeral Home with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council and the U.S. Army.
Burial will be in Rosehill Cemetery, East China Township.
