Jean Carson

October 4th, 1937 to February 18th, 2014

Jean Annette Carson, 76, of Brown City, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014. She was born October 4, 1937 in Mt. Clemens to the late William and Geraldine VanNuck. She married James Lloyd Carson on March 2, 1957 in Port Huron. He died in 2006. Mrs. Carson was employed with Michigan Bell Telephone and later for the Brown City Veterinary Clinic. She was a former member of Brown City Women’s Club, Brown City Board of Review and Brown City Home Charter Committee. She enjoyed working with stained glass and cooking for family gatherings. Jean was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by three children, James (Debbie) Carson, Patricia (Timothy) Stover and Michael Carson; eight grandchildren, Marleis, Bobbielee, Danielle, Stacie, Jessica, James, Samantha and Alec; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sons, Timothy and William Carson; and her twin sister, Joan Ellis. Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home, Port Huron. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 24, 2014 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Cokonougher will officiate. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
