She was born September 29, 1938 in St. Clair to the late Aloysius and Kathleen Novak. She married John Vollstaedt in May 1959 and they were married 12 years. She married Douglas Cronce in June 1977. He died in December 1980.
Mrs. Cronce retired as a secretary from the Bone & Joint Institute. She was a longtime member of St. Christopher Catholic Church and a member of the American Legion Marysville Post #449 Auxiliary. She enjoyed reading, crafting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She is survived by seven children, John (Elizabeth) Vollstaedt, Jeffrey (Kimberly) Vollstaedt, James (Lori) Vollstaedt, Jill (Rick) Bailey, Jennifer (Jeffrey) Haynes, Joel Vollstaedt and Joseph (Crystal) Vollstaedt; grandchildren, Jessica & Andrew Vollstaedt, Sarah (Eric) Griffith, Stacey & Matthew Vollstaedt, James & Joshua Vollstaedt, Erica Bailey, Angela (Jeffrey) Goodwine, Jordan Haynes, Jeremy (Marisa) Vollstaedt, Joseph Vollstaedt and Kayla Thomas; great grandchildren, Bradley, Jack & Hank Vollstaedt; a sister, Nancy Levin; a brother, James Novak; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 5-9 p.m. Sunday in the Marysville Funeral Home.
Mrs. Cronce will lie in state from 10:30 a.m. until the time of the Funeral Mass at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 in St. Christopher Catholic Church. The Reverend Arthur Baranowski will officiate.
The Rite of Committal will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army or Goodwill Industries.
