Donna L Fleming

Donna Leona Fleming, 89, of Smiths Creek, passed away peacefully just after sunrise on Wednesday, July 13, 2016.

She was born May 15, 1927 in Deckerville. She married Eldon Fleming, the love of her life, on October 9, 1943 in Avoca. He died August 23, 1996.

Donna owned and operated a hair salon in Port Huron for several years. Prior to that, she also worked at Newberry’s, Woolworth’s and Yankees. She enjoyed playing dominoes, Scrabble and beating everyone at euchre. She also loved doing word search puzzles and reading.

She is survived by two sons, E. Joseph Fleming and Harry (Terri) Fleming; five grandchildren, Tammy (Mark) Doherty, E.J. (Charity) Fleming, Harry (Rowena) Fleming, Peter (Galisha) Fleming and Sarah Fleming; 12 great grandchildren; a great great grandchild; special friend, Georgia Gilbert and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be 6-9 p.m. Monday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2016 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. The Rev. Harry J. Fleming will officiate.

Burial will be in Caswell Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Peter Fleming, Ryan Doherty, E.J. Fleming and Eson Fleming.
