Garald G "Gary" Thompson

Garald Gene “Gary” Thompson, 81, of Port Huron Township, died Wednesday, April 7, 2021.

He was born December 12, 1939 in Port Huron to the late Glen and Gertrude Thompson. He married Patricia Ignash on August 28, 2004 in Port Huron.

Gary was employed with Mueller Brass until his retirement. He loved going to tractor pulls and breakfast with the family on Friday mornings. He enjoyed playing on the church softball team and liked to talk and joke with everyone. He was a member of Gratiot Park United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia; children, Becky (Tony) Bianchi and Scott Thompson; ten grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; step-son, Stephen Walters; siblings, Mary Ann Campbell, Rodney (Georgina) Thompson, Wendi (Bob) Fair and Denise (Greg) Vincent; sister-in-law, Linda Thompson; many nieces and nephews; and in-laws, Mary (Ron) Hellman, Gary Kenny, Margaret Keys, Jeanette (Don) Nichter, Kathy Brown and John (Stephanie) Ignash. He was preceded in death by his step-son, Howard Walters; and brother, Roger Thompson.

Graveside services will be held at noon on Thursday, April 15, 2021 in Ruby Cemetery. The Reverend Eric Miller will officiate.
