Obituary

Kathleen Aretha Lee, affectionately known as "Pooch," made her grand entrance into this world in Port Huron, Michigan on September 23, 1971 to the Parents of Barbara Lee-Durant and the late William Russell Watkins.

Her childhood was full of love and Family meant everything to Pooch. She was a track star while attending Port Huron High School where she led the P.H.H.S Track Team to many victories.

As a teenager and throughout womanhood, Kathy evolved into a Fashionista. She loved Designer Clothes, Shoes, & Jewelry. Often she would take part in shopping trips to New York, Atlanta, Las Vegas, and many other places. Ms. Lee’s closet was that of a high class department store. She took pride in her appearance making sure to always have her hair, lashes and nails done. She was classy, sassy, and a force to be reckoned with if you made her mad or messed with her family.

Kathy and all her cousins were raised as siblings. Often she would catch the train and visit Flint, MI to stay at her Aunt Bert’s house on the weekend. She later moved there where she met and married Tyrone Lawrence Davis. After his untimely death, she moved to Detroit, MI but that did not keep her from family. Kathleen loved family cookouts and dinners especially during the holidays.

Kathleen worked in the medical profession for over 23 years where she spent most of those years as a Certified Nurse Assistant working at the Hospice of Detroit and Whitmore Lake in Whitmore, Michigan. Kathleen loved her job and she loved her patients. Kathleen has also worked in some of the best hospitals and nursing homes within the tri-city area.

Pooch had many hobbies besides shopping such as watching NCIS, going out to eat, and cooking. Her beautiful smile would light up a room and her boisterous laugh would let you know she was there. Although Kathleen never became a biological mother, she was most definitely a Mother to many including her little cousins and all of her Godchildren whom she loved with every fiber of her being.

Kathleen leaves to cherish her memory and mourn: Mother Barbara Lee-Durant; Brothers: William (Audrea) Lee and Anthony Hill Of Port Huron, Michigan; Sister: Glinda (Leon) Sanders of Montgomery, Alabama along with (9) other Brothers and Sisters of Florida and Alabama; Maternal Aunts: Augusta May of Buffalo, New York, Bertha (Charles) Sligh Of Shreveport, Louisiana, and Leona Lee of Port Huron, Michigan; Maternal Uncles: Robert Lee Of Port Huron, Michigan and Johnny Lee; (6) Paternal Aunts and (1) Uncle of Alabama, New York, and Ohio; several nieces and nephews all over the world including Gabriella Grace Lee and Avianna Mae Lee of Fort Gratiot, MI and Canada; (63) Maternal 1st Cousins, A Host of 2nd Cousins, and many other Relatives who loved her dearly.
