Joachim Oscar “Jack” Petzoldt, 85, of Port Huron, died Friday, November 12, 2021.
He was born March 21, 1936 in Lakewood, Ohio to the late Fritz and Kathe Petzoldt.
Jack grew up in Grosse Pointe and graduated from Grosse Pointe High School. Thereafter he earned a B.A. from the Penny W. Stamps School of Art and Design at the University of Michigan. Jack was an art and design instructor at Wayne State University. He enjoyed music, boating, painting and photography.
He is survived by two cousins, Anita Stillweil and Karen Warfield; his boating friends, Perry Munson and Marilynn Fairfax; and many Cross Pointe friends. He was preceded in death by his longtime friend and companion, Harry Glogowski.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, November 29, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m. Deacon Dennis Crimmins will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
