Barbara J "Barb" Artman

Barbara J. “Barb” Artman, 92, of Port Huron, passed away on Friday, July 15, 2022.

She was born July 5, 1930 in Port Huron to the late Charles and Mildred Sheffield.

Barbara was employed as a buyer with Sperry’s Department store for many years prior to her retirement and also worked at Ruby Tree Farm with her husband. She was a former member of the Ruby Lioness Club. They also resided in North Fort Myers, Florida for 17 years before returning in 2020.

She is survived by two grandsons, Jeff (Heather) Gierman and Jason Gierman; two great grandchildren, Jason II and Bailey Gierman; sisters, Charlene Sheffield and Linda Brandl; daughter-in-law, Linda Gierman; several nieces and nephews, including, Collene Baczewski of Houston, Texas, Melody Minielly and Denny (Louanne) Newberry; and many great nieces and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband John Artman; son, Gary Gierman; sister, Dorothy Conger; brothers, Leeroy and Ronald Sheffield; and grandparents, Ted and Stella Cannon.

Graveside services for both John and Barbara will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron.
