Joseph A Kodet
Our beloved father, Joseph Allen Kodet, 86, of Marysville, died Friday, November 4, 2022 after a brave battle with cancer and Parkinson’s disease.
He was born August 17, 1936 in Port Huron to the late Elmer and LaVina Kodet.
He was the most kind, generous, loving and forgiving father any child could ask for. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him and his passing leaves a hole that cannot be filled.
Joseph served in the U.S. Army and was employed with Chrysler Corporation for over 30 years. He became a highly qualified multiple rating civilian pilot and flight instructor. In his youth, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. After retirement, he enjoyed his golden years spending time with his family. We know that he is in Heaven now with all his loved ones. His family will hold him in their hearts forever.
He is survived by two children, Stefan “Finn” Kodet and Sasha Kodet (K.C. Cross); two grandchildren, Tessa and Kellen; sister, Sharon Johnson; his aunt, Maryann Meyers; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Elmer “Rusty” and Allen Kodet.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 12, 2022 in the Woodland Cemetery Chapel, Port Huron Township. The Reverend Charles Martin will officiate. Military honors will be conducted by the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
