Michael D Cruickshank

Michael Don Cruickshank, 75, of Marysville, passed away on Monday, December 26, 2022.

He was born June 8, 1947 in Port Huron to the late Don and Carrie (Peruta) Cruickshank. He married Jill Stiehr on December 7, 1968 in Toledo.

Mike ran his own business, Great Lakes Electric and was also an electrician for Detroit Edison for over 20 years. He dedicated many years to hockey. Mike played hockey in his youth, coached Port Huron minor hockey and helped organize Silverstick tournaments and was a MAHA chairman. Throughout his life, Mike enjoyed sharing good meals with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Jill; two children, Patrick (Shannon) and Kelley Cruickshank; two grandchildren, Jacob and Carly; sister, Nancy (Richard) Badley; and childhood friend, Thomas (Debbie) Meismer. He was preceded in death by his faithful companion, Mickey.

A private family remembrance will be held at a later date.

The family prefers memorial contributions be made to McLaren Hospice or to the Port Huron Minor Hockey Association.
