Roy E Watson Sr.

Roy Eldon Watson Sr., 70, of Clyde Township, died Sunday, September 17, 2023.

He was born August 3, 1953 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Viola Watson. He married Carolyn Murdick on September 9, 1972 in Port Huron.

Roy served in the U.S. Army. After the service he was employed with Mueller Brass then SKI Industries for many years. He also taught a few semesters at St. Clair County Community College. Roy enjoyed riding motorcycles, collecting N scale model trains and coaching Little League for Clyde Township. He loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Carolyn; four children, Jeanne (Christopher) Cole, Roy Watson Jr., Patrick (Terry) Watson and Angelina (Mike) Green; 13 grandchildren; siblings, Robert Watson, Kevin Watson, Bonnie Lentz, Patty (Loren) Lohr, Steve (Aimee) Deering, Tony Deering and Joe Deering; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Deering; and daughter-in-law, Diana Watson.

Visitation will be held from 12-3 and 5-8 p.m. on Thursday, September 21, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, September 22, 2023 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Pastor Steve Sovereen will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Army and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard.
