Elden C Milting
Elden C. Milting, 87, of Port Huron, passed away surrounded by loving family Friday, November 10, 2023.
He was born January 12, 1936 in Mt. Clemens, Michigan to the late Frederick and Ella Milting. He married his loving wife Margaret Ellen Plantier on April 11, 1959 at Peace Lutheran Church in Southgate. They were married for 64 years.
Elden was in the Air National Guard for several years. Elden was employed by the United States Postal Service, retiring after 32 years.
He was a lifelong member of the Lutheran Church serving in many different roles whenever there was a need.
Elden is survived by his wife, Margaret; three children, Kay (Howard) Howcroft, Carl (Patricia) Milting and Tina Rivera; grandchildren, Sarah (Aaron) Roberson, Rine (Rachel) Hessel, Sharon (Matthew) Russell, Brandon, Zachary, Joshua, and Karley Howcroft, and Aiyanna Rivera; great grandchildren, Madalyn and Emalie Roberson, Ryan Hessel, Lucas Schultz, Lorenzo and Leonardo Russell; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Victor Milting; sisters Betty Gideon and Lida Bossow; son David Milting; and daughter Kathy Milting.
Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p. m. on Friday, November 17, 2023 in Faith Lutheran Church, Port Huron with a visitation beginning at 3:00 p.m. The Reverend Mark Huff will officiate. Military honors will be conducted under the auspices of the U.S. Air Force.
