Obituary

Lloyd Arthur DeLacy, 82, of Fort Gratiot, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday June 24, 2025. Born on July 10, 1942, he was the son of the late Joseph Stapleton “Stape” DeLacy and Mary Elizabeth Mollan DeLacy.

Lloyd was a master carpenter, employed in the trade for 40+ years in the Port Huron and surrounding areas, excelling as a finish carpenter. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Lloyd was a lifelong member of Ross Bible Church, where he served for many years in the Awana program, sang in the choir, went on mission trips to Mexico and Japan, and was involved in many other ministries. He helped in the construction of the original Ross Church building as well as later additions and expansions.

Lloyd attended Philadelphia College of the Bible where he met Jean Davidson, and they married on December 28, 1963. Later in life, he earned an Associate’s Degree from SC4 and also completed a program to receive his certification as a locksmith.

His greatest loves in life were His Lord, spending time with his family, and helping his family and others. He could often be found working in his garage workshop on unique wood projects, fixing items for others, and making wooden gifts for family. Lloyd loved music, classic automobiles, reading, motorcycling, woodworking, and traveling the United States.

He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Jean DeLacy; two children, Lynly DeLacy and Kyle (Maria) DeLacy; two sisters, Dorothy Redford and Carol DeLacy; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Nancy DeLacy, Constance (Ron) Moser, Carl Davidson, Pat Calp and Dale (Janet) Davidson; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Vivian (Dr. Robert) Stephens; brother, Rich DeLacy; parents-in-law, Herbert and Carolyn Davidson; sister-in-law, Carolyn Davidson; and brother-in-law, Bruce.

Visitation will be 2-5 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 30, 2025 in Ross Bible Church with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m.

Burial in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Wales Township will follow the church luncheon.
