November 17th, 1944 to September 11th, 2025

Robert John Loxton Sr., of Port Huron and formerly of Fort Gratiot, passed away peacefully on Thursday, September 11, 2025.

He was born November 17, 1944 in Port Huron to the late Teddy and Florence Loxton and married Jackie Feldhouse on Valentine’s Day, February 14, 1998.

After graduation, Bob worked for Vernors in Detroit, and then spent the majority of his career in the construction industry. He enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers, hunting, caring for his beautiful flower gardens, and decorating the yard for holidays. Bob loved bringing joy to others, making Christmas cookies each year for the Manor residents, and hosting Christmas Eve dinner and cookie decorating for his family. More than anything, he treasured time spent with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of 27 years, Jackie; four children, Robert J. (Laura) Loxton Jr., Laurie Lynn (Leroy) Campbell, Melissa (Shawn) Stover and Shannon (Charles) Hayden; eleven grandchildren, Kristen Loxton (Rob Thomas), Ryan Loxton, Alexa (Aaron) Smith, Marley Campbell (Cody Hicks), Kyle Campbell, Ava Grace Stover, Charles Hayden Jr. (Anna Marie), Michael Hayden, Timothy Hayden, Brendan Hayden and Reaghan Hayden; seven great grandchildren, Jameson, Lukas, Aiden, Ramona, Aelita, Sofia and Charles “Tripp” III; five siblings, Barbara (Dave) Teeple, Donald Loxton, Michael (Karen) Loxton, Paul Loxton and Margaret (Jim) Jarvis; two sisters-in-law, Nancy and Debra Loxton; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by five siblings, Del “Fred”, William, David, Jill and Carol Loxton; and grandson, Jacob Neal Stover.
