Karl L Radatz

Karl Leonard Radatz, 58, of Kimball, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026.

He was born August 23, 1967 in Port Huron to the late Robert and Shirley Radatz. He married Lisa Oliver July 2, 1988 in Goodells, MI.

Karl grew up on a farm in Emmett, attending Capac Schools. This is where he developed his love of animals, including his many cherished pets, Shelby, Sam, Ollie, Jack, Lily, Buttons, Luna and Maybell. He delivered donuts for Chef Shells for over 10 years bringing smiles to many people along the way.

A true jack of all trades, Karl enjoyed listening to music, working on cars, cooking for his family, playing video games, cracking jokes, and learning about spaceX. In more recent years, he found joy in feeding the chickens and collecting their eggs, a simple pleasure that reminded him of his childhood on the farm. Above all, Karl loved time with his family especially his beloved grandkids.

He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Lisa; three children, Courtney (Daniel) Blondell Leason, Connor Radatz, and Shyanne Radatz (David Schiffeneder); grandchildren, Dalylah Rae, Charles, Skylar, Illya, and Arya; his sister, Kathy Hildreth; his brothers, Danny (Vicky) Radatz, Robert (Lori) Radatz, Todd (Rhonda) Radatz, Paul (Beverly) Radatz, Bob (Kim) Duckworth, and Bill Duckworth; four sisters-in law; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry and Randy Radatz and his best friend, Rick Ostrander.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 15, 2026 in Gateway Church, 1234 6th St., Marysville, with visitation beginning at 1:30 p.m. Pastor Nate Neihof will officiate. A meal will immediately follow the service.
