Wade Kruger
Wade Kruger, 82, of Port Huron Township, died Saturday, September 5, 2026.
He was born June 18, 1944 in Smiths Creek to the late Murray and Stella Kruger. He married Paulette M. Gauthier on February 6, 1965 in Ishpeming. She preceded him in death on June 10, 2019 after 54 years of marriage.
Wade graduated from Marysville High School and then served in the U.S. Air Force. He was employed as an electrician with Dunn Paper for over 30 years prior to his retirement. An avid reader, Wade would often finish two books in a single day, with westerns being his favorites. When donating books to second hand stores, he had to put his initials in the books so he didn’t repurchase. He enjoyed camping, campfires, woodworking, riding his bicycle and spending time with his family. Wade especially loved tending to his yard, keeping his lawn and landscaping meticulous.
He is survived by his children, Lisa (Russ) Regulinski, Dean (Tammy) Kruger, Darsci (Harry) Smith and Dana Margerm; grandchildren, Kurt (Shannon) Regulinski, Staci (Eric) Fitzpatrick, Kyle Kruger (fiancée Abby Knieper), Alexis (Jacob) Strunk, Charlie Simpson, Laura (Jestin) Tigue, Miranda (Christian) Mahoney, Ethan Margerm and Aubree Margerm; and great grandchildren, Kamille Fitzpatrick, Willow Regulinski, Grace and Noah Strunk, Wayne and Ray Tigue, and Evelynn Mahoney. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kayla Beth Simpson; and brothers, Dale and Glenn Kruger.
Private family services have been held.
Burial will be in Woodland Cemetery, Port Huron Township.
