Frederick D Strickland
Frederick Dana Strickland, 70, of Port Huron, died Wednesday, September 16, 2015.
He was born August 2, 1945 in Jackson to the late Paul and Henrietta Strickland. He married Carol Hyde on June 24, 1967 in Port Huron. She died January 13, 2011.
Mr. Strickland was a master electrician with Chrysler Corporation and owned and operated FDS Electric. He was past president of the Blue Water Festival and was very involved with the International Day Parade.
He is survived by a daughter, Vicki (David) Kelley; a sister, Carole (James) Seltz; a brother, P. Brian Strickland; close friends, Toni George and Mary Lynn Beals; sisters-in-law, Shirley (Ken) Mapley and Diana (David) Arnold; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation will be 2-6 p.m. Sunday in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Phil Whetstone will officiate.
Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens, Fort Gratiot. Pallbearers will be Matt Mapley, Michael Arnold, Dwain Seltz and Jack Bowen.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Foundation Fighting Blindness - Retinitis Pigmentosa.
