Gayle Ann Dortman, 66, of Port Huron, died Tuesday, February 9, 2016.
She was born May 1, 1949 in Port Huron to the late Martin and Grace Sassanella.
Ms. Dortman worked in food service with the Port Huron Area School District for 13 years. She was very creative and loved sewing and crafting. She enjoyed shopping and antiques and was always on the go. Most of all, she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by two children, Aaron Dortman and Brie Dortman; two grandchildren, Conner and Brannan Dortman; siblings, Tim (Karen) Sassanella and Cindy (James) Wier; very special cousin, Jane (Alan) Warsinske; nieces and nephews, Lynette (John) McCombs, Timothy Sassanella (Dean Charrington) and Amelia & Kenzie McCombs; and dear friend, Barb Dummitt. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gregg Sassanella.
A memorial luncheon will be held from 11 am - 2 pm on Saturday, February 20, 2016 in the Colonial Woods Missionary Church Gymnasium.
Memorial contributions may be made to Blue Water Hospice Home or St. Clair County United Way. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
