Matthew Lee Nordgren, 34, of Port Huron Township, died Friday, January 15, 2021.
He was born September 16, 1986 in Rochester, Michigan.
Matthew worked as a chef at various restaurants in Michigan, including The Weathervane in Charlevoix and most recently Olive Garden. He was a champion in fantasy football and was a walking encyclopedia of sports trivia.
He is survived by his daughter, Olivia; father, Lee Nordgren; two sisters, Jenna Nordgren and Kim Smallwood; grandparents, Gerald (Darlene) Nordgren and Marge Wilson-Laurence several aunts, uncles and cousins; and many close friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Beth Alsup; and his aunt, Kim Nordgren.
Visitation will be held from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, January 31, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. A limited number of people will be allowed in at a time. Please wear a mask for the safety and comfort of others. A private family service will follow at 4:00 p.m. The Reverend Bonnie Klos will officiate.
