Viola Mae Anecki, of Lexington Township, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016 at McLaren Port Huron Hospital due to cancer.

She attended St. Clair County Community College and became a successful salesperson working at three fine furniture stores in the county. Mae retired with her husband of 60 years and in 1994 moved to Bradenton, Florida for 20 years. They recently moved to Michigan and lived in Lexington Township.

Mae was an avid tennis player and participated in many local tournaments. But her passion was studying God’s Word and keeping His commandments.

She is survived by her husband, Leo; sons, Jefferson (Pam) Anecki of Croswell and Bradley (Virginia) Anecki of Elysburg, Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and siblings, Mary Sanders of Pontiac, Donald Graves of Munising and Pat Ward of Hastings.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 24, 2016 in Lakeport Wesleyan Church with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. The Rev. Drew Mills will officiate.

Burial will be in Lexington Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lakeport Wesleyan Church. Arrangements are by Pollock-Randall Funeral Home.
