Frank V Williams
Frank Vincent Williams ,57, was born on Wednesday, May 1, 1963 to the late Frank and Barbara (McMillan) Williams in Port Huron, Michigan. After a very lengthy illness, God granted him a peaceful transition on Monday, April 26, 2021.
Frankie’s mother Barbara preceded him in death in 1965; whereas he and his five siblings from this union was reared by their late maternal Grandparents Cleveland and Gustava (McMillan) Jones. Frankie was reared and nurtured in a very loving, respectful and Christian oriented family environment. He was taught to love and respect himself as well as others and received Christ at an early age at St. Paul A.M.E. Church.
Frankie grew up and was educated in the Port Huron School District. He was a calm, courteous, laid back, humorous man and an outstanding athlete in Football and Basketball. He was an avid sports fan especially of the Detroit Lions. He graduated from Port Huron High School in 1981. He immediately joined the United States Marines, where he faithfully and respectfully served his country until he was honorably discharged in 1985. He returned home and was afforded gainful employment with Morton Salt.
Frankie’s most blissful and utmost pride was the birth of his two sons, Christiaan and Justin Williams. Unfortunately, his long-term illness took over early in his children’s lives that adjusted his life’s plans with them and loved ones. Anyone who really knew Frankie… knew what he would have done with his sons and grandchildren if he had not become disabled. Nevertheless, God still allowed them to spend precious time together until the end. Frankie’s deep love and strong family bond has been shown to be extended from his children, grandchildren, siblings and grandparents to numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, etc.
Frankie was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents and siblings; Felicia “Kitty” Williams-Chisholm, Ramona Williams and Tracy Williams-Myers.
Frankie leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Christiaan and Justin Williams; three grandchildren, Nolan V. Williams, Lena Frankie and Wesley Williams; three siblings, Kirk D. Williams Sr, Sonja (Randy) Jones and Kenya Lewis; brother-in-law, Will Meyers; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, cousins, friends and more. Special acknowledgement, gratitude and thanks to cousins Leon “Lenny” and Terry Edwards for their countless hours of expressions of love and caretaking of Frankie.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 30, 2021 in Pollock-Randall Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The Reverend Carl Miller will officiate.
Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery. Military honors will be conducted by the U. S. Marine Corps and the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Council.
