Aretha Parker

Aretha Parker, 83, of Port Huron, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 5, 2016.

She was born June 26, 1932 in Mobile, Alabama to the late Willie and Beatrice Edwards.

Aretha was a devoted mother and grandmother, raising all of her grandchildren. She was a great cook and had a wonderful sense of humor. She was a member of Zion Tabernacle Church, loved the Lord, and in her later years, memorized most of the Psalms. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Brewster, Theresa Parker, Venessa Sincel, Anthony Parker and Johnnie Parker; three grandchildren, Derrick (Terry) Brewster, John Brewster and Laquetta (Tony) Haskins; her siblings, Roberta Mazyck, Gloria (Ralph) Howie, Calvin (Beverly) Taylor and Lee Taylor; and a host of other grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lindsey Parker; granddaughter, Damita Rae Brewster; and sister, Willa B. Clopton.

Graveside services will be held in Tod Homestead Cemetery, Youngstown, Ohio.
