Betty J Lewis

Betty Jean Lewis, 87, of Fort Gratiot, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 23, 2022.

She was born April 17, 1934 in Port Huron to the late Joseph and Thelma VanSach. She married John M. “Jack” Lewis on October 31, 1953 in Port Huron. He preceded her in death on Friday, September 1, 2006.

Mrs. Lewis was a seamstress for many years. She faithfully enjoyed 4 o’clock Happy Hour and enjoyed bowling, doing crossword puzzles, shopping and trying her luck at the casino.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, David John Lewis on March 19, 2006; and her siblings, Carl VanSach, Joseph VanSach, Mary Tomlin and Gary Vansach.

Private graveside services will be held at Allied Veterans Cemetery Columbarium, Port Huron.
